Beaulieu firm shortlisted for top industry awards after bringing history to life across the world

Beaulieu-based audio visual company, DJ Willrich Ltd (DJW), hopes to add to its growing trophy cabinet as it has been shortlisted for two top industry awards.

DJW has been honoured for its work on two projects out of the three shortlisted – in the ‘consumer installation of the year’ category of the AV Awards 2012- Titanic Belfast and Fort Edmonton Park in Canada.

Managing Director, David Willrich, said: “It is a huge honour to be shortlisted not once but twice in the AV Awards 2012. We are incredibly proud of these two projects and to have our work recognised by our industry peers is a fantastic feeling.”

DJW designed, supplied, installed and programmed the AV and show control systems for the Capitol Theatre show experience at Fort Edmonton Park, Canada’s largest living history park. Through its clever use of AV, DJW was able to create a 3D effect without having to wear glasses, using two screens; create the illusion of a cinema screen being cracked by ice and trigger snow falling on the visitors.

Its work at the recently-opened Titanic Belfast project has received international acclaim and DJW’s innovative interactive features have helped to bring the story of the Titanic to life for visitors from across the world.

DJW will discover if it has won its category at a glittering awards ceremony in London this October.
