Growing accountancy and business advisory practice Hazlewoods has completed a major expansion to its Cardiff operation, taking more than 4,000 sq. ft. of office accommodation at South Gate House in the heart of the city’s central business district.
The Cheltenham-founded firm has taken a suite in the office building for an initial five years. Knight Frank represented Hazlewoods on the deal, with its building consultancy team supporting the fit-out, while Savills advised the landlord.
South Gate House has undergone extensive refurbishment in recent times, enhancing the ground floor with a new reception area and three new retail units. Black Sheep Coffee became its first retail occupier, serving the public along with tenants in the building from its corner unit.
The building sits directly opposite Cardiff’s rail and bus stations, as well as adjacent to the BBC Wales headquarters and the UK Government Hub at Tŷ William Morgan. It extends to 90,000 sq. ft. in total and provides office suites ranging from 2,000 sq. ft. to just over 4,000 sq. ft. across 12 floors through joint agents Knight Frank and Savills.
