Brightstone Spaces Limited has completed the acquisition of three serviced office centres in Fife from Inshmore Ltd, in a multi-million pound deal that extends the operator’s presence beyond its existing Falkirk base into full ownership in the Fife market.

The acquisition comprises Dalgety Bay Business Centre, Rosyth Business Centre and Liberty House, centres Brightstone Spaces has managed since April 2025, adding approximately 58,000 sq ft of flexible office, warehouse and storage space and taking the group’s total footprint to around 65,000 sq ft. The centres collectively support over 130 businesses across sectors including trades, creative services, tech, wellness and professional consultancy.

The deal was structured as an asset acquisition, with existing staff transferring under TUPE and current customer licences continuing unaffected by the change of ownership.

The deal reflects continued demand for flexible workspace across Scotland, as businesses increasingly favour serviced offices over traditional leases for the flexibility they offer. Further acquisitions are under active consideration as Brightstone Spaces continues to build out its footprint across central Scotland.

Director Chris Brown said: “This is a significant step up in scale for Brightstone Spaces, and one we’ve been building toward carefully. Fife is a market we already know well, having worked closely with these centres over the past year, and this gives us a strong platform to grow from, both in flexible workspace and now into storage too.”

Director Andrew Harkins added: “We’re actively looking at further opportunities across central Scotland as we continue to grow the portfolio. Our ambition is to build Brightstone Spaces into a significant regional operator while keeping the hands-on approach and flexibility that have been central to the business from the start.”

Jerry Alexander of Inshmore said: “Having managed these buildings for over a year, Chris and Andrew know the portfolio well. This is a significant step for Brightstone Spaces and allows us to focus on our historic buildings under the Cohere brand.”

Brightstone Spaces was founded in Falkirk in 2023 by Andrew Harkins and Chris Brown. The acquisition takes the company’s portfolio to four sites and roughly 65,000 sq ft of flexible workspace and storage.
