APC success for town planner Sharmaine

Sharmaine Katerere, Avison Young

A graduate town planner at Avison Young in Bristol has passed her Assessment of Professional Competence exams, gaining chartered status.

Sharmaine Katerere now becomes a member of the RTPI, the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Sharmaine, who joined Avison Young in 2018 having graduated from the University of the West of England with an integrated Masters degree in Property Development and Planning, works as part of Avison Young’s Planning, Development and Regeneration team in the South West.

Passing these technical APC exams take two years of study and professional training.

Jo Davis, Regional Managing Director, Avison Young Bristol, says, “Congratulations to Sharmaine who joined us straight from university, and has worked incredibly hard during these very difficult and challenging times, to gain the professional training, work experience and study required to gain her chartered status. These exams demand the highest levels of competency and Sharmaine has proven she’s a great career ahead of her. As a company we’re committed to training and development, always putting people at the heart of all that we do.”
