Global Brands Group and Li & Fung move to White City Place

Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo have announced that world leading branded fashion company Global Brands Group and global fashion supply chain management specialist Li & Fung are moving their main office in Europe to White City Place, a one million square foot business district in West London.

Global Brands Group is known for being the ‘go to company’ for some of the world’s biggest fashion labels, including renowned brands such as Calvin Klein, Disney and Katy Perry and for managing the brands of celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and David Beckham. The $3.2 billion turnover business offers a vast array of services for brands including designing, developing, marketing and the selling of fashion, accessories and footwear and kids clothing products.

Li & Fung, with a turnover of $18.83 billion in 2015, will also be moving into the same space as its sister company Global Brands Group on the 5th floor of the WestWorks building to drive efficiencies, create a more flexible working culture and promote the sharing of ideas. The global supply chain specialist has an extensive network of over 17,000 people in over 40 different markets, which enables its portfolio of well-known fashion brands and retailers to navigate the digital economy, allowing them to respond quickly and efficiently to rapidly changing trends and consumer behaviour.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, with regional offices in China and the US as well as their European office in London, both companies will be moving from their current location in the Woolworth Building on Marylebone Road to White City Place by the end of 2019.

Taking 50,500 sq. ft. of space in the WestWorks building the fashion industry specialists will be joining fellow high-end fashion companies Yoox-Net-A-Porter and Ralph & Russo at White City Place, which is an international hub for fashion but also creative and tech companies. The new office will be the European headquarters for both businesses, with the move aiming to create a more adaptable workforce and help each company continue to build on impressive growth in Europe.

Other tenants in the WestWorks include ITV Studios who have 350 staff located on-site, pioneering tech ‘scale-ups’ Attention Seekers and Arts Alliance Media and the global pharmaceutical company Novartis. As well as housing ‘The Studio’, a state of the art 100-seater space equipped with the latest technology in audio and visual recording, White City Place also boasts a range of amenities including fitness studios, restaurants, bars and cafes.

David Camp, Chief Executive, Stanhope said:

“We are delighted that both Global Brands Group and Li & Fung have chosen WestWorks at White City Place as their new European headquarters. They will be a great addition to the fantastic mix of tech, creative and fashion companies already based at White City Place and will help cement White City’s position as a leading global business district for world class companies.”

Eiichiro Onozawa, Managing Director, Mitsui Fudosan said:

“Global Brands Group and Li & Fung have chosen to make White City Place their new permanent home for their European headquarters, joining a host of world leading companies located in White City.
