A Hampshire firm of chartered surveyors is launching a new recruitment drive as demand sharpens for its multi-disciplinary services.

McAndrew Martin is expanding its six divisions as the independent company grows in Hampshire, London and the South.

It is creating 12 jobs over the next 12 months from apprenticeships to senior staff after a record 10% growth in turnover in 2017-2018.

Directors are recruiting in each of its six disciplines: building surveying, project management and contract administration, mechanical and electrical engineering, structural engineering, architecture and general practice.

New employees – including experienced chartered surveyors, apprentices, CAD technicians and mechanical engineers – will work at McAndrew Martin’s Portsmouth headquarters at the Acorn Business Centre in Northarbour Road and support its London office.

The 33-strong company is one of the top 100 building consultancies nationwide and celebrates its 30th anniversary next year.

Managing director Bill McAndrew said: “McAndrew Martin continues to expand after restructuring into six disciplines and implementing an ambitious growth plan.

“Our team’s commitment to the business and dedication to excellence was the driving force behind record growth in the last financial year.

“Recruiting new apprentices and experienced professionals will allow us to move into the next phase of our expansion across Hampshire, London and the South.”

Experienced chartered surveyors for McAndrew Martin’s general practice division are among those targeted in the recruitment drive.

Director Ian Lee said: “McAndrew Martin is a modern, family-orientated and professional business with opportunities in its General Practice department at an exciting stage of the firm’s development.”

Structural engineering director Noor Awan added: “We are also actively recruiting within our structural engineering division as part of our expansion plans.”

McAndrew Martin’s multi-disciplinary approach means it can meet individual client requirements and provide an overarching service with full end to end design solutions.
