Window of opportunity for Anglian as it moves to new premises

Anglian Home Improvements is to expand its south coast operation by moving into larger, more modern facilities in Segensworth near Fareham.

The company, a national operator, household name and leading supplier of double glazing, doors and conservatories, is to relocate in July from its current depot at Fareham Industrial Park to a modern warehouse unit just off the M27 at Junction 9 after some 25 years at Standard Way Fareham.

Anglian will take the 16,710 sq ft Unit 2 at the iO Centre, Stephenson Road, Segensworth, in a strategic move that supports the company’s regional and national growth and expansion plans. The unit will be used as a regional administrative hub to provide offices and training facilities, storage and distribution in support of Anglian’s services on the south coast.

The unit was secured for Anglian on a 10-year lease at £8 per sq ft by South Coast commercial property specialists at Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), who also let the property from their Fareham office on behalf of the landlord, Forelle Estates.

Adrian Whitfield, Director, Industrial and Logistics at LSH’s Southampton office, said: “The expiry of the lease at Anglian’s existing site at Fareham made this an ideal time for us to assist the business in securing new premises that are better suited to its needs as it continues to expand.

“Working closely with the client, we identified that the iO Centre was an ideal fit for Anglian’s requirements – larger, more modern premises in a prominent location, with on-site parking and within two miles of the M27 Junction 9. Furthermore with Forelle Estates being well known to us we also knew that a smooth transaction could take place.

“This is a hugely positive move for Anglian which will help ensure it goes from strength to strength over the coming decade and beyond.”

Simon Webber, Head of Property at Anglian Home Improvements, said: “We are grateful to LSH for their assistance in finding these premises. We are excited about the move and look forward to continuing to provide first class services to customers in the region from our new base as well as providing excellent new facilities for our staff.”

Andy Goodridge, Asset Manager at Forelle Estates, said: “We are delighted to welcome Anglian to the iO Centre, and wish the company every success in this exciting new phase of its development on the South Coast.”
