Three new partners join Cushman & Wakefield’s expanding retail team

Cushman & Wakefield has significantly strengthened its retail team with the appointment of three new Partners.

Rory Newsome, David McCosh and Oliver Serrant will join the firm and their appointments follow the recent announcement of Kevin Farrow’s arrival at Cushman & Wakefield as Head of UK Retail Occupier Agency following 11 years with CBRE.

Rory Newsome joins the Central London Retail team from Capita/GL Hearn, where he was the Director for Lease Advisory within the Retail Advisory team. He has previously worked as a Divisional Director for Nelson Bakewell, within the Landlord and Tenant department, in a commercial property career that has spanned 20 years. At Cushman & Wakefield, Rory will focus on Central London Lease Advisory.

David McCosh is also joining the Central London Retail team where he will be specifically appointed to advise retail occupiers in both London and the rest of the UK working closely with Kevin and Oliver as well as Peter Mace.

David has been a Director within Retailer Services at JLL for nearly five years. He specialises in advising and negotiating on the acquisition and disposal of leasehold and freehold commercial property for both the retail and leisure sectors throughout the UK.

Oliver Serrant also comes from JLL, where he has been a Director in the Retailer Services team for almost five years. Oliver advises occupiers on the optimisation of property portfolios, including the acquisition and disposal of retail properties across the UK and will be working closely with Kevin Farrow at Cushman & Wakefield.

Justin Taylor, Cushman & Wakefield’s Head of EMEA Retail, said: “These are three more significant hires for our UK Retail business, as we continue to attract the best talent in the sector. By constantly adding experience and expertise we are able to give our clients the best advice possible and maintain Cushman & Wakefield’s position as a leader in this space.”

Peter Mace, Cushman & Wakefield’s Head of Central London Retail, said: “Rory, David and Oliver follow on from the recent hires of Kevin Farrow and Dominic Bouvet in a really exciting time at Cushman & Wakefield. London is one of the most important global retail markets so it’s vital that we are able to keep adding new people who can bring their own expertise and ensure we have the capacity to adapt to a continuously evolving market.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Team consists of over 1,100 specialists globally, providing services for retailers, occupiers, landlords and investors, and marketing retail properties on a local and international basis.
