Jordan Technology Park to be marketed

National commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) is marketing the new Jordan Technology Park near Silverstone race track which is being launched in May. The business park is named after motorsport legend Eddie Jordan, who has an interest in the company which owns it.

The park is opposite the entrance to the Silverstone circuit, and next to Jordan’s old Formula One factory, now Sahara Force India F1.

The park is expected to bring hundreds of high tech jobs to the region, attracting motorsport research and development companies and high power engineering firms.

The 15-unit park is in the heart of Motorsport Valley, the UK’s motorsport cluster which is home to around a third of the UK’s top motorsport engineering companies, employing nearly 40,000 people and contributing £35 billion to the UK economy.

Eddie Jordan, now the BBC’s Formula One analyst, said, “This is a fantastic opportunity for high-tech and advanced engineering firms to locate themselves right in the heart of the UK’s motorsport community. They will be rubbing shoulders with the top names in Formula One and helping to make sure that Great Britain and the Silverstone area keep their reputation as the world centre of excellence for F1 and motorsport development capability.”

The park is situated opposite Silverstone race circuit just off the A43, close to J15A of the M1 and J10 of the M40.

The purpose built, high quality business units are finished to the highest Grade A standards, with mezzanine floors, and built from steel portal frames with steel profile cladding. Internally the units have a clear span footprint and include disabled access WCs. Each unit has allocated car parking, yard space and loading areas.

The unit sizes range from 4,908 sq ft to 11,291 sq ft, with eaves height of six metres.

LSH’s Joe Smith said the park was an exciting development which would attract high added value companies and skills to the region.

“This is the only development of its kind currently happening in the region. Its location couldn’t be better, in the heart of the Motorsport Cluster which is synonymous with innovation and engineering excellence. The units are for sale or let and we are expecting a high level of interest,” he said.
