A start-up company specialising in personalised products for the home is to open this month in a Staffordshire business park.

Personalised Nation is set to open its doors at Unit 6B, Zone 4, Burntwood Business Park, on October 31, after it agreed a five-year term with London & Cambridge Properties (LCP), which owns and manages the zone.

Launched by husband and wife team Kelly and Mathew Nation, Personalised Nation will operate from the 1,750 sq ft unit.

The couple has invested in state-of-the-art equipment for the venture, which is their first business together after Mathew spent 20 years in the print and design industry.

Kelly Nation said: “We decided in June to set up our own company and it didn’t take long to find the ideal premises. We like it because it is close to where we live, a great location and has good kerb appeal. We’re looking forward to opening and welcoming our new customers.”

Paula James, industrial lettings manager, of London & Cambridge Properties, said: “As well as helping industrial and manufacturing companies that want to expand into larger premises, we also have a range of smaller units that are ideal for new businesses that want their first home. This unit is ideally sized for Personalised Nation and I hope that we are in a position to help this fledgling venture grow as it establishes itself in the area.”

Personalised Nation is holding an open day on October 31, when a range of activities is being organised.
