Creative communication agency jamjar PR has won Outstanding Small Consultancy of the Year at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Cymru Wales PRide Awards for the third year in a row.

The Cowbridge-based agency, spearheaded by PR practitioner Lyndsey Jenkins, swept the board at the annual awards ceremony which was held at Cardiff’s City Hall.

The agency’s work for contemporary visual arts exhibition Artes Mundi 6 won a gold and silver award in Best Use of Social Media and Arts, Sport & Culture campaign respectively.

Its campaign for tapas restaurant Bar 44 won a gold award in the Consumer Relations category and its work for SuperStars’ entrepreneur James Taylor was also recognised with a silver award in the Business and Corporate Communications category.

Of jamjar PR judges commented: “The judges absolutely loved the culture of jamjar PR – how something simple like creating homemade jam for clients can really differentiate and create an emotional reaction to a brand. It is also noteworthy that the company has chosen to be “boutique” and that is a viable objective to create a sustainable company that is able to focus on existing clients, not just new business development. The standout campaign example of the Artes Mundi 6 campaign demonstrated that clear strategic planning and measurable objectives for PR campaigns can lead to stellar and demonstrable outcomes which, in this case, had a direct £2m benefit to the Welsh economy.”

Since it was established in 2012, jamjar PR has built up an impressive reputation for delivering creative, multi-platform communication campaigns to clients in the private, public and not-for-profit sector including Cardiff Bus, Sport Wales, Traveline Cymru, Oil 4 Wales, Brewin Dolphin and Pedalcover Insurance.

Growing year-on-year, in the last twelve months the agency has strengthened its digital offering delivering social media training and consultancy and video production services to its clients.

Managing Director, Lyndsey Jenkins, said: “From the outset, our mission has been to deliver cost-effective, creative communication solutions to clients that make a tangible difference to their organisation and it’s fantastic that both our approach and work has been recognised as being worthy of winning so many awards from our industry body.

“To win Outstanding Small Consultancy of the Year for the third year in a row is something that I’m extremely proud of. It’s testament to my talented team who absolutely deserve this recognition for all of the hard work they put into our clients’ campaigns on a daily basis.

“Winning these awards certainly is the cherry on the top of a very successful year for us and we’re excited about what the future holds.”

Now in its 12th year, the CIPR PRide Awards are the most credible UK-wide awards in the public relations industry. They recognise and celebrate outstanding campaigns, PR professionals and teams across 9 UK nations and regions.
