Double delight at Bardon – freehold units sold within days

Acting on behalf of Marks Electrical, Leicestershire’s leading supplier of kitchen and home appliances, Tim Gilbertson of FHP has quickly disposed of two substantial warehouses on Bardon Industrial Estate just off Junction 22 of M1 in Leicestershire.  Appointed by Marks Electrical in advance of their expansion and relocation to new premises, two of their current units have been sold, with completions due later in the year.

Totalling well over 17,000ft², the units were placed ‘under offer’ within a matter of days of coming to the market and a swift conveyance followed with contracts now exchanged and completion due later in the year.

Two further units owned and occupied by Marks Electrical are ‘under offer’ with exchange of contracts due shortly showing again the strength of demand for freehold space on this estate.

Tim Gilbertson commented:  “I was delighted to be appointed to dispose of these units on what has always been a sought after estate.  The speed with which we have placed all four units ‘under offer’ at very competitive prices has surprised even myself and shows how the market is bouncing back and lack of supply coupled with increasing demand is seeing prices rise as strength returns to the market place.

We do have one further unit available on the estate but expect this to be well received and would hope/expect a sale to be agreed very shortly.

Mark Smithson, owner of Mark’s Electrical commented:  “I really couldn’t believe how quickly Tim sold our warehouses. I thought it would be a really long job but it was quite the opposite and I had a telephone report virtually daily on the progress of the sales. All together a fantastic job was done by Tim on what could have been a very tricky process.”
