Prominent design-led hotel in Glasgow comes to market

Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has been instructed to market the hotel trading as YOTEL Glasgow.

This recently developed, design-led hotel features 257 ultra-efficient, contemporary bedrooms in one of the most prominent city centre locations, directly opposite Glasgow Central station at the corner of Argyle Street and Hope Street.

The hotel integrates technology throughout the guest experience, with its smart-room design maximising both comfort and efficiency, appealing to the needs of today’s modern traveller.

Complementing the accommodation is VEGA, the hotel’s unique top-floor bar and restaurant, which was refurbished in 2025 and features a four-lane bowling alley alongside panoramic views across the Glasgow skyline, creating a vibrant destination for both guests and visitors alike.

As one of the UK’s leading regional hotel markets, Glasgow benefits from a broad and well-established demand base spanning corporate travel, conferences and events, education, and leisure tourism, supporting strong year-round occupancy and operational resilience. The city’s appeal has been further enhanced by major international events, including the Commonwealth Games, while future growth is expected to be underpinned by limited supply and robust demand fundamentals, supported by rising visitor numbers and continued investment in the city.

In addition to its highly visible location and compelling product offering, the hotel benefits from branding under the unique YOTEL flag, which is further enhanced by YOTEL’s recently announced collaboration with Hilton, allowing the hotel to join Hilton’s global distribution, digital, and loyalty ecosystem from September 2026. An incoming purchaser will benefit from the significant trading upside deliverable by this powerful combination.

Ed Fitch, Senior Director – Hotels at Christie & Co, is leading the sale process and commented, “The hotel represents a rare opportunity to acquire a significant hotel in one of the most visible Glasgow locations, with a new, modern, and well-designed product, and yet with further upside deliverable as a result of the recent brand tie-up.”

The hotel is being offered for sale on a price on application basis.
