Blacksmith shows his mettle by securing business unit

A blacksmith is moving into a prominent unit at a business park in rural Dorset.

The firm, specialising in metal gates, has taken space at Brixey’s Business Park, Tarrant Hinton, near Blandford.

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major successfully negotiated the lease of the property at on the asking price of £7,950 per annum.

Senior surveyor Rachael Ward said: “We are particularly pleased to have been able to let this unit on the popular Brixey’s Business Park.

“It is heartening to see that there is still a place in this modern world for the artisan craftsman.

“It also demonstrates that there remains strong demand for industrial units in rural areas as businesses seek to provide a good working environment for their staff.”

Marius Krizinauskas is the new occupier of the steel-framed unit measuring 1,690 sq ft (157 sq m) at the business park on the edge of the village.

The park is handily placed with Blandford just six miles away and Salisbury just 19 miles distant.
