Hancox and Gamble promoted at CBRE

Ed Gamble and Ashley Hancox have been promoted to executive director at CBRE in Birmingham.

Mr Gamble, who works in the firm’s capital markets team, has more than 15 years’ experience in advising clients with interests in the industrial, office and retail sectors on property investment.

Since joining CBRE from JLL in 2011, Mr Gamble has acted on some of the city’s biggest property deals. He recently advised CBRE Global Investors on the acquisition of seven, eight and ten Brindleyplace for £131 million, acquired Priory and Temple Court for £80 million on behalf of Legal & General, and advised IM Properties on the sale of the Euro Car Parts unit at Birch Coppice.

Mr Hancox has been head of office agency at CBRE’s Birmingham office since 2008, when he joined the firm following its acquisition of property consultancy GSD. In 2010, Mr Hancox was promoted to head of regional office agency.

In addition to his office agency role, last year Mr Hancox oversaw the relocation of CBRE’s Birmingham office from Cornwall Court to its new headquarters on Temple Row.

As executive directors, Mr Gamble and Mr Hancox will continue to develop their respective services lines as well as support managing director Martin Guest in driving the strategic growth of the £17m, 100 strong Midlands business.

CBRE has also promoted ten other people at its Birmingham office.

David Bullimore, rating, Stelios Demetriou, lease consultancy, Simon Etough, asset services, Jan Losch, valuation, and Sarah Pritchard, global corporate services, have been promoted from senior surveyor to associate director, while Toby Bowser, building consultancy and design, Stephanie Cartwright, rating, and Verity Cubitt, valuation, have moved up from surveyor to senior surveyor. Angela Hasluck, rating, has been promoted to surveyor.

Graduate Abigail Barnes has also joined the specialist markets team as a surveyor, having passed her APC.
