Hale Construction appoints Business Development Director

Hale Construction has promoted its Development Manager to Business Development Director, in order to consolidate the business’ plans for continued expansion.

David Harrhy joined Neath-based Hale Construction from Gee Construction’s Bridgend base a year ago and has since illustrated an excellent knowledge of the industry, leading Hale to secure new clients and increase annual turnover across both the construction and timber frame arms of the business.

With his regional construction expertise, David’s focus has been on driving Hale’s expansion into broader geographical areas across Wales and the West of England as well as helping the company diversify into new sectors.

Mr Harrhy said: “Having been employed by Hale as Development Manager for a year, it is an honour to be granted directorship.
“With talented staff and first class facilities available, the planned expansion programme has surpassed everybody’s expectations.

“Turnover this year is on course to hit circa £16m with a target of £24m for next year highly likely.

“Hale is currently working for most Welsh housing associations with a healthy mix of new housing, refurbishment and commercial projects ongoing across thirteen live sites.

“Hale’s collaborative approach coupled with quality timber frames supplied by sister company Seven Oaks Joinery has resulted in our product becoming a sought-after commodity – and long may that continue.”

Hale Construction was established in 1996 by managing director Jonathan Hale as a general building service with just one member of staff and has grown rapidly since, winning awards for its foresight and commitment to sustainable construction.

Seven Oaks joinery is the sister company of Hale Construction, and specialises in the manufacture of timber frames, high tech insulations and solutions for the sustainable construction sector. Trisowarm was create last year by Seven Oaks and is a highly specialised and advanced foam insulation system using factory-filled, pre-injected panels with the potential to ensure a top-of-the-range thermal conductivity. Hale properties are fitted with Trisowarm as standard.
