Jones Lang LaSalle Sell off Office Furniture

Jones Lang LaSalle’s Southampton office have recently undergone an extensive refurbishment programme. Having moved into Latimer House in 2003, the office after ten years required a makeover which included redecoration, new carpets and new office chairs.

Steve Knight, who is Jones Lang LaSalle’s Charity Champion in the Southampton Office decided to sell the unwanted furniture through Gumtree and EBay. This innovative idea raised almost £200 for the JLL charity partner Samaritans, a UK and Ireland charity that offer round-the-clock support to people struggling to cope.

Stephen Knight commented: “At a time where people are constantly looking for ways to save money I thought the second hand office furniture may appeal to local companies. Only moments after listing the furniture online we had interest from a new internet café and several start-up businesses. I’m glad our unwanted furniture raised money for a very worthy cause.”
