Topping out ceremony held at Core 42 Tamworth as steelwork completes

HPG Developments has completed the structural steelwork phase of a new-build 10,600 sq ft industrial and trade counter building at their Core 42 Tamworth Business Park. The cladding phase has now commenced, with practical completion expected in May 2026.

The highly prominent building is located in a prime position at the entrance to the market-leading Core 42 Tamworth Business Park and is now clearly visible to the 22,500+ vehicles passing the site each day along the A5.

The units will be constructed on a terraced basis, providing accommodation ranging from approximately 4,500 sq ft up to 10,600 sq ft and are being delivered to a highly sustainable specification including Hörmann level access doors, LED lighting, a market-leading cladding system and roof-mounted solar panels, achieving an EPC ‘A’ rating.

HPG’s Development Director, Edward Hodgetts, said:

“This is the final development at our Core 42 Tamworth scheme. Its exceptional visibility from the A5 trunk road which runs directly past the site provides excellent accessibility to established local populations as well as areas of future housing growth. The building will appeal to a broad range of occupiers, from local businesses seeking to relocate through to national and trade counter operators.”

The remainder of HPG Developments’ 700,000 sq ft Core 42 Business Park is now fully occupied, with major companies such as Maersk, Greencore, Thermo King UK, Huws Gray and Alpi UK in occupation and employing around 1,000 people.
