Rigby & Co concludes a series of regionally significant land transactions with the FE sector

In the first quarter of 2013, commercial property and regeneration specialists Rigby & Co have concluded a series of regionally significant land transactions with the FE sector.

Acting on behalf of Derby College, the Pride Park-based company has orchestrated the sale of the 12 acre Field Road Campus to Leeds-based St James’ Securities for the development of a Morrisons Supermarket and housing.

Also in Ilkeston, the company has acquired the Magistrates Court site at Pimlico for Derby College’s new £10m Campus and has disposed of five acres of housing land on Cavendish Road, Ilkeston to Chevin Homes.

And acting on behalf of Tresham College, the company has disposed of 4.5 acres on Barleythorpe Road in Oakham to Arborfield Estates who have plans to develop a Sainsbury’s supermarket.

Commenting on concluding these latest deals, Russell Rigby, director of Rigby & Co said:

“Our expertise in the FE sector is really bearing fruit this year, with the completion of these four high profile deals; several other projects are also on the horizon, which we expect to complete on in the coming months,” added Russell.
