Exhibition stand company CSDB Exhibits has worked with property agents John Truslove to secure a new base for its expanding interiors arm.
DBUK Operations will be based out of two neighbouring units at the Victor Business Centre in Redditch, creating up to 20 new jobs this summer.
John Truslove joint managing director Ben Truslove worked with the company to help it secure a five-year lease on 6,782 sq ft of space across Units 1 & 2 at 60 Victor Business Centre, on Arthur Street.
It is a major expansion for the group, which can trace its roots in Redditch back to 1930 and is now part of international trade show giant CDI World with operations in the USA and Singapore.
Dan Fletcher, production executive at DBUK Operations, explained: “We are a relatively new offshoot of the business to focus on interiors for clients such as pubs, bars and restaurants.
“Our exhibition stand work is, by its nature, temporary, but the new business will be focusing on more permanent interior work, including bespoke joinery.
“We have worked with the team at John Truslove before, so when we decided last year to launch the new operation I went straight to Ben Truslove and asked him to keep his eye out for suitable premises for us. He found us the two units at Victor Business Centre.
“It is in an ideal position for us, not far from our UK headquarters in Redditch and our main storage unit. We are carrying out a major refit and sourcing the machinery we will need to get the operation up and running this summer.
“We will also be recruiting 15 to 20 new employees for the business.”
Mr Fletcher added: “Being based in Redditch works very well for a business like ours, with clients nationwide, as well as giving us easy access to major exhibition venues such as the NEC and the ExCel Centre.”
Ben Truslove said: “CSDB Exhibits has been part of the business scene in Redditch for nearly a century and is still thriving. We are delighted to be able to play a part in assisting with its latest growth plans.
