The demand for office space continues – Kitt welcomes 22 tenants in 2022 so far

Managed office platform Kitt has announced it has welcomed 22 tenants to Kitt spaces in 2022 so far – an 85% increase from the previous year. The uplift in Kitt’s signings reflect an ever-increasing interest in Central London office space as companies look to return to the office.

With over 145,000 square feet of managed space across various London locations, new signed companies include ICP, Till Payments and Accedo.TV.

With new tenants ranging from marketing consultancies to leading fintechs, Kitt has seen a revival in companies of all types returning to the office, as many look to recreate the sense of belonging that was lost over the last two years.

ICP chose to place collaboration at the heart of their new office space. With unique, curved glass meeting rooms that spill out into open plan areas, their space enables their employees and clients to pick and choose the areas best suited to their needs – highlighting the role that intentional design is now playing in the workplace.

Steve Coulson, Co-founder and CEO at Kitt says: “Towards the end of 2021, we saw a distinct increase in businesses seeking office spaces to suit their needs and it’s promising to see this continue into 2022. Across industries, from our own surveys and sign ups, we’re seeing an evident want for a space where people can collaborate away from their screens and we can only predict that this will continue as we enter Q2 of this year.”

To gain a deeper understanding of what tenants want, Kitt’s survey on its own tenants shows office workers favour office provisions such as groceries and snacks, and appreciate that the space is carefully maintained daily throughout their term- both things that will be implemented in the new signings.

Kitt’s survey also strongly indicates that the main motivation bringing tenants to the office is the opportunity to socialise, collaborate and meet with colleagues in a face to face environment. Research from Kitt also shows almost half (44%) of business owners believe the office will primarily be used for networking. With this in mind, Kitt continues to take this and all other customer data into consideration to help optimise its bespoke design process and on-demand service offering available in all Kitt spaces.
