An exciting mix of new restaurant and workspace tenants to open at The Atrium, Camberley

Two new restaurants and a shared workspace operator have signed new leases at Aberdeen Standard Investments’ The Atrium in Camberley.

Colliers’ Leisure Agency team secured new tenants La’ De Kitchen, Gourmet 4 and Login Café, who are all set to open their doors this summer at the 28-unit shopping and leisure destination in the heart of Camberley’s town centre.

La’ De Kitchen, a family-run Mediterranean restaurant operator with four trading outlets, is taking the former 5,000 sq ft Frankie and Benny’s site. Opposite La’ De Colliers has also let the 4,200 sq ft former Bella Italia restaurant to food market and bar concept Gourmet 4. This rapidly expanding chain provides a range of various cuisines all under one roof, as well as a bar area.

The agency team also has four more tenants lined up for the remaining available units at The Atrium, leaving only one vacant retail unit within the whole scheme, which is also home to a nine-screen Vue cinema, ten pin bowling alley, gym and soft play centre.

Colliers has also leased 15,000 sq ft of previously unoccupied upper floor space to Login Café, owned by Project 5, a Camberley-based IT outsourcing consultancy. The space will be used for co-working and event space for workers and businesses who are local to the area. Project 5’s head office will also be based within the space.

Paul Bugeja, an associate director at Colliers said: “We are pleased to announce three exciting new tenants to this scheme. The restaurants offer brand new cuisines and concepts not previously available at The Atrium which further enhances the scheme’s reputation as the prime food and beverage destination for the area.

“The centre has emerged strong from the pandemic thanks to its wide range of offering with many of our existing occupiers’ sales already exceeding their 2019 turnover figures.

“Login Café will be a great addition to The Atrium. Camberley will now have a business hub for workers who are looking to change to a flexible or agile working pattern, but need a space outside of their home. Login Café will attract professionals to the scheme during the business week, which we hope will bring an even more diverse footfall to the ever popular Park Street.”

Julie Edwin, senior asset manager at Aberdeen Standard Investments said: “The Atrium is becoming a great shopping and leisure destination for our catchment with a diverse range of leisure, shopping and lifestyle on offer.

“New trends are emerging for our high streets and shopping centres as people spend more time closer to home. Visitors are now used to a work-life balance and expect all their lifestyle needs available in one location. The opening of the Login Café for co-working, alongside our gym, play centre, dental offer, and even our ballet school, provides just that for office workers, parents, or local Camberley residents.”
