New accountant in Coventry

An expanding family-run accountants is starting a new era after completing a re-location within Coventry.

Haren Shah, who qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 1981, set-up his own accountancy practice Shah & Co in Station Street East, Foleshill Road, with help from his family in 1985.

The company had outgrown its premises and has now moved to recently refurbished premises on the first-floor at Cash’s Business Centre in Widdrington Road, Radford.

The office refurbishment was undertaken by McCarthy Associates Limited, of Systems House, Broad Lane, Coventry, with the help and assistance of HSBC Bank.

The Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Gary Crookes, officially opened the new offices in front of clients, family and friends.

Haren said: “Our new premises are fantastic and it was great to welcome the Deputy Lord Mayor to officially start the next stage in our history as well as thank everyone for their support particularly my staff, their families and our clients many of whom have been with the firm since our humble beginnings.

“It was with trepidation but no small amount of enthusiasm that I started the company all those many years ago with the ethos of providing a quality and personal service.

“This is a new era with the next generation of Shah entering the firm with my son, Jay, joining the practice after completing his training with a London firm of accountants and becoming qualified as a chartered accountant.

“The passage of time has not dulled my enthusiasm and the move to new offices along with Jay now being involved in the business has only increased my joy of seeing the firm grow while still striving to provide the same quality and personal service to the local community and beyond to people and business large and small.”
