‘Quality shines through’ as Coltham seals two deals

Coltham Developments has announced two major office lettings in the Midlands, demonstrating that there is strong demand for high quality premises even during the downturn.

The Birmingham-based property company has agreed deals with companies for office space at Brooklands, at Moons Moat Drive, and Chestnut Court, at Jill Lane, both in Redditch.

Jelf Clarke Roxburgh, a leading independent consultancy providing expert advice on insurance, employee benefits, healthcare and financial planning for businesses and individuals, has signed a 10-year lease for 2,450 sq ft on ground floor, unit 4 at Brooklands.

Hartle Special Projects, specialising in commercial building services nationwide, has taken units 18 and 19, totaling 3,150 sq ft of office space at Chestnut Court. The site is now 80% occupied, with just four units available. Current occupiers include Innov8, Capita, HISL Ltd, Airology Systems and Scaramanga Design.

Coltham Developments Limited is a privately owned commercial property development and investment company operating throughout the UK, controlled from its central Birmingham offices. It has established itself as one of the most competitive, innovative and flexible commercial property development companies, continually delivering quality buildings on time and within budget.

Director Mike Hargreaves said: “Jelf Clarke Roxburgh and Hartle Special Projects are two companies that are investing in their future success by selecting high quality premises in convenient locations, providing employees with wonderful working environments.

“I am very pleased to announce that they have signed leases for units at business parks that offer first class access to the motorway network and excellent accommodation. It is very encouraging for the subdued office market and clearly demonstrates that, even in these trying times, we are able to complete deals at competitive rates because the quality of the buildings shines through.”

Hartle Special Projects along with Hartle Building Mechanical Services Limited forms a group of companies under the ownership of Eltrah Limited. It offers a full range of services including heating, ventilation,
air conditioning, hot and cold water services, gas pipework, compressed air systems, process pipework, above ground waste pipework, sanitary ware and underground pipework. It has diversified to offer a full turnkey M&E package where required on projects in excess of £4 million.

Managing director Michael Hartle said: “We chose Chestnut Court because it had everything we were looking for. It’s in a convenient location – near to the M42, M40 and M1 motorway networks – a quality building with a good layout, and situated in a rural setting that is comfortable and easily accessible for our employees but also very professional for our clients to visit.”

Peter Sherwood, regional sales director at Jelf Clarke Roxburgh commented on the move: “Finding the right office space is always a challenge and we are delighted to have taken the premises at Brooklands. We are committed to growth in the Redditch area and the new office provides a modern environment and will only go to improve the service we can provide to our clients.
