Work is beginning on a major multi-unit industrial development in Walsall with the help of a leading Midlands construction consultancy.
The £22 million Central Point development in Willenhall Road, close to Junction 10 of the M6, will provide almost 100,000 sq ft of modern industrial space across six units. Birmingham-based The Construction Consultants (TCC) have been appointed as project managers, quantity surveyors and employers agents to oversee the project on behalf of the Henley-in-Arden-based project developers, Erdgard Developments.
The development, due for completion early in 2027, will provide industrial units from 6,000 sq ft to 25,000 sq ft aimed at industrial, trade and logistics operators. The units will be built to very high environmental and energy efficiency standards.
The main contractor for the site is the Warwick-based MCS Group. Lettings are being handled by JLL and Newmark.
TCC co-founder and director Sandeep Singh Sunner said, “Central Point is exactly the kind of speculative development the Midlands badly needs just now. There is a shortage of developments like this in the area and we are delighted to be involved in this exciting project which will make a major contribution to Walsall’s regeneration.”
