Challinors makes three more hires

Law firm Challinors continues to grow its Midlands-wide team, adding three specialists across its Childcare, Crime, and Wills Trust and Probate teams.

In Birmingham, Nicholas Bennett joins as Assistant Solicitor in the Wills, Trust and Probate team headed by Partner Fiona Debney. A qualified member of the leading worldwide professional body STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), Nicholas is a specialist in Court of Protection, Wills, and Estate Planning work, and joins after five years with Higgs & Sons. He has also worked at Blakemores Solicitors and Shepherds Solicitors, both in Birmingham.

Damion Romans joins as Assistant Solicitor in the Childcare team, headed by Partner Ghulam Sohail, from Blakemores Solicitors. Based in Challinors’ West Bromwich office, Damion is a specialist in family law, particularly childcare, care proceedings and adoption cases.

Also joining as Assistant Solicitor is Gerry Vahey. He joins Challinors’ top ranking specialist Business and Serious Crime team, also headed by Ghulam Sohail and rated Top Tier in the latest Legal 500 Directory, and will operate from the firms’ West Bromwich and Halesowen offices. With more than 20-years experience as a Criminal Defence Solicitor, Gerry has worked at a number of West Midlands law firms, including Tanfields and MR Timms & Co, both in Dudley.
