Godwin Developments, a multi-sector development company with sites across the country, has purchased a former Pizza Hut site on Baths Road, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, close to the town centre, with the aim of developing the site for roadside retail use.
Godwin Developments hopes that the new development will create new jobs locally and reinvigorate the former site with a convenient place to pass through whilst shopping nearby, or en-route to the town centre, or whilst travelling to Longton train station.
The site has been vacant since the former occupiers Pizza Hut closed the business in September 2019, when local jobs were also lost.

The site benefits from a great location along-side a very busy road, providing the perfect spot for our proposed use. In particular, I am pleased with the speed in which we have completed this site purchase. The ability to act quickly benefits both landowners and occupiers to allow them certainty on the deal progressing.”

The acquisition of the Longton site is the latest project to be added to the Godwin Developments portfolio which already contains a diverse range of commercial, residential, and mixed-use property assets in key regional locations.
