Bruton Knowles boosts Guildford business with new starters

The Guildford team at leading independent national property consultancy, Bruton Knowles, has welcomed four new starters to boost its offer in the region.

Bruton Knowles, which has a network of 13 offices across the country, has appointed two new Surveyors, a Land Rights Officer and Graduate Surveyor to work out of the property consultancy’s office in Guildford, with further recruitments in the pipeline.

The appointments come as Bruton Knowles continues to expand after celebrating a record turnover of £13.85m in 2018/19 and 500 new business wins across key sectors including utilities and infrastructure, commercial, public sector and rural.

Key clients for the Guildford office include the Police & Crime Commissioner for Surrey and County Council, along with a wide range of Borough and District Councils across the South East. The office has a dedicated valuation team serving a wide range of banking and other clients and a specialist team providing utilities & infrastructure advice to the likes of Thames Water and Southern Water. Private landowners are also a key part of the client base taking advantage of a strong development consultancy and management/lease advisory offering.

Joining the Bruton Knowles Guildford team are:

Guy Peters, Surveyor

Guy joins Bruton Knowles from Hargreaves Newberry Gyngell in London and specialises in residential leasehold reform and valuation. He works on behalf of investors, banks, lenders, private individuals, companies and asset managers.

Antony Rapley, Senior Surveyor

Antony is a Senior Surveyor with over 14 years of commercial experience gained within the private and public sectors including retail, office and industrial. Antony’s skills include high level lease advisory advice, estate/property asset management experience, in addition to strategic acquisitions and disposal campaigns.

Jamie Rothery, Land Rights Officer

Prior to joining Bruton Knowles, Jamie undertook a law degree at University of Surrey. Studying land law, including various statutory and common law rules, has prepared Jamie for his new role which involves negotiating land access for clients such as Thames Water and Southern Water.

Ben Kirby, Graduate Surveyor

Ben joins Bruton Knowles from GL Hearn where he held the position of Surveyor for the past two years. A graduate of University of Portsmouth, Ben’s role at Bruton Knowles includes assisting colleagues to undertake valuations and development / viability appraisals for a wide range of clients ranging from the financial sector to local authorities. Ben is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor.
