Building and project consultancy Paragon has made three hires at its Bristol city centre office as the business continues to implement its successful growth strategy in the South West.

Paragon opened in Bristol last November in direct response to both client demand and new opportunities in the region. Following these latest appointments, the consultancy’s office in the city now employs eight people, including two directors.

Dan Wallis has been appointed as associate director in building surveying, bringing with him more than 16 years’ experience. Dan joins from Bristol-based consultancy 3SIXTY Real Estate, where he spent ten years as an associate specialising in the commercial and private healthcare sectors.

He has extensive experience across all building surveying disciplines and the property lifecycle. In addition, Dan has a successful track record of undertaking large portfolio acquisitions and negotiating complex dilapidations claims.

The second recruit is Jonathan Webb who joins Paragon as project manager. He previously held the same role at Bristol-based property consultancy and engineering company Iesis Group, working across the residential, commercial, hotel, student, retail and infrastructure sectors.

Finally, Vicky Elliott joins as graduate building surveyor, having worked for Paragon as a year-out placement student in 2017 and graduating from the University of Reading in 2019. Vicky aims to become a RICS chartered surveyor through taking her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

Since it opened, Paragon’s Bristol office has secured more than 100 instructions from a range of clients to provide building surveying, project management, quantity surveying, project monitoring and contract administration services.

Welcoming the new starters, Bristol-based Paragon director, Paul Arthur, said: “These three hires are excellent additions to our team and are representative of the impressive pool of talent available in Bristol.

“Dan and Jonathan possess a clear understanding of the regional property market, provide commercially effective advice and are highly skilled at what they do. We’re also proud to be developing a promising APC candidate in Vicky as part of our long-term growth plans in the region.

“We have had a successful start in Bristol due to capitalising on a great deal of commercial opportunity in the region. We now have three more people who will help us, and our clients, capitalise further as we continue to implement our successful growth strategy throughout the South West.”
