Significant development opportunity in Wolverhampton city centre sold to Beauford Group

A significant development opportunity in Wolverhampton city centre has been sold after attracting best and final offers.

Beauford Group, a Birmingham-based company, has completed the purchase of 33-37 Victoria Street, which stimulated much interest after being marketed by Towler Shaw Roberts.

Planning consent has been granted for a ground floor retail unit of approximately 7,000 sq ft, with 44 student room apartments on the upper floors.

There is alternatively planning consent in place for 18 apartments – 16 one-bedroom and two two-bedroom – to be developed above a ground floor retail unit.

Martin Zaki, who completed the sale for TSR, said: “This is a significant development opportunity in the heart of Wolverhampton city centre on the corner of Victoria Street and Cleveland Street.

“It’s within walking distance of the Mander Centre and Wulfrun Centre.

“The site has been demolished with planning consent granted for a development opportunity over four floors, which includes a ground floor retail unit.

“As expected, it generated a high level of interest and eventually went to best and final offers.”

Beauford Group is a development and investment company with experience in both residential and commercial regeneration projects.

As planning and regeneration specialists, they actively seek out and act on the best investment and development opportunities, from new build properties to existing buildings suitable for conversion.
