GJS Dillon helps expansion of fast growing Worcester based e-commerce company

Worcestershire commercial property consultancy and Chartered Surveyors GJS Dillon has helped a fast-growing worldwide e-commerce company based in Worcester expand into new industrial premises.

Acting on behalf of a private landlord, Mike Pritchard, commercial negotiator at GJS Dillon, let Unit 4 & 5, The Steel Centre, Wainwright Road, Worcester, WR4 9FA, to DAPV on a new five year lease, marketed at an annual guide rent of £87,175.

This is the second property GJS Dillon has let to DAPV in the past six months. In December 2018 they took a new five year lease on an office suite in Marmion House in Worcester city centre.

Founded in 2016, DAPV operates as a multi-channel online retailer, building a technology eco system to be exploited through its own brands selling online. DAPV’s first brand, Fancy Dress Worldwide, has been growing rapidly since it started in March 2016, shipping fancy dress costumes, accessories and party decorations to more than 85 countries. In September last year (2018) DAPV successfully raised £308,000 in an angel led investment round, gaining Kayar Raghavan, a former Global Executive banker, as one of the firm’s new investors and non-executive directors, as part of its expansion plans which include selling through Amazon and exporting its fancy dress costumes to the USA. In 2018, it was named by Plimsoll reports as the fastest growing fancy dress company in the UK.

Mr Pritchard says: “We are delighted once again to help one of Worcester’s fastest growing companies to continue with its global expansion plans. With excellent communications, flexible workforce and a great lifestyle both Worcester and Worcestershire continue to be a popular base for many growing businesses.”
