Coventry deal completed

Coventry businessman Rois Ali has bought a commercial property in Hillfields to add to his investment portfolio.

The well-known, award-winning chef and entrepreneur has bought the property at 11-12 King William Street through commercial property agents Shortland Penn + Moore.

Ali paid an undisclosed fee for the 7,169 sq ft property and immediately agreed a new two year lease with current occupiers Genting Casinos, operating as Mint Casino.

He said: “I have bought it for investment and I am delighted to have agreed a new lease with the present tenants.

“I am grateful to Shortland Penn + Moore for their help and support. I am currently out of the restaurant business but hope to return to it early next year in the city, and provide a very upmarket restaurant.”

Shortland Penn + Moore acted for the previous owners Genting.

Managing director David Penn said: “It was a very good deal all round with all parties and very happy with the outcome.”
