£120,000 refit and job boost opens in Mansfield Road

Car Audio Centre is officially opening its new retail premises on Mansfield Road following a six month refurbishment project costing over £120,000.

The local retailer of car audio equipment and GPS sat navs acquired the shop in a deal brokered by NG Chartered Surveyors at the beginning of the year.

Its relocation from Hyson Green has created six new jobs at the company, and enabled the company director, Jack Digva, to sign a new high-end TV and home hi-fi equipment contract with leading companies such as Sony, Pioneer and LG.

Jack Digva said: “Our goal was to create a beautiful shop where people can browse the latest audio equipment for their home and car. Our budget for the work was £120,000 which included the refurbishment of three two-bedroom residential flats above the shop.

“The finished work exceeds all my expectations. Inside, we have created a dedicated demo room which profiles up to £15,000 of the latest audio technology. We have never had this facility before and it will be great to give our customers a full experience to see the quality of our products.

“We have also fitted the shop with a new IT streaming, which means that we can run all our TV and laptops on the same channel. The purpose of this is to help customers see the different definition and visual displays between each screen available.

“This shop is our flagship store in Nottingham – we waited four years to find the right location. Our other outlets are in London, Birmingham and Manchester Leicester. And thanks to this shop we have also managed to get direct accounts with the global giants in the audio world – like LG, Pioneer and Sony.

“We also thought we would be recruiting two new members of staff, but in fact we have recruited six – and I expect this to grow in the future.

“Despite the recession we are seeing growth in our company. More people then ever before are driving longer distances for work commitments. They want to make the journey as pleasant and stress-free as possible with good audio and navigation equipment. And, as dining out gets expensive, more people are entertaining at home and don’t mind investing in quality home audio equipment that will last.

“The service I receive from NG was outstanding. I have been working with them for over five years and would not go anywhere else.”

Sunny Landa, from NG, managed the deal. He said: “Car Audio Centre is a thriving business with outlets all over the UK, but this deal has enabled the firm to open its flagship store here in Nottingham and generate new job for local people.”
