Expansion underway for Work.Life Fitzrovia

Co-working brand, Work.Life, has announced it will expand its Fitzrovia site, taking another 3,500 sq foot on the second floor of the property.

The expansion at 33 Foley Street, W1, follows negotiations with the current landlord, Aberdeen Standard, and the work has already started. It is expected to be completed by 1st May.

It adds to the site’s existing 12,000 sq ft on the ground floor which opened in September 2018, and will serve an additional 76 members and businesses. Seventy per cent of the additional space has already been reserved.

Fitzrovia was Work.Life’s 6th opening in London. Within walking distance of both Euston and Soho, the site has fast become one of Work.Life’s most popular locations, with over 300 members and small businesses taking coworking desks and office space, including Music Plus Sport, Vengrove Real Estate Management and People Insight.

David Kosky, Co-Founder of Work.Life commented on the expansion, “Taking additional space in our Fitzrovia building was an easy choice. It reached full capacity within four months of opening and an additional floor still keeps us within our square footage limit as not to affect the great community there.”

“Our strategy is unique in the coworking market. We work closely with landlords to occupy smaller ground floor sites which can often be challenging for them to let, especially in today’s tough market, before expanding upwards when we reach maximum capacity.”

“This helps activate and animate their buildings from the ground up, whilst also providing us with a significant presence on street level.”

Work.Life, whose values focus on helping teams boost team retention through creating happy and community-focused working environments, reported strong growth for 2018.

Providing space for over 3,000 members nationwide, the company is one of the UK’s fastest growing workspace brands. With eight sites across the capital, Manchester and Reading, and a ninth site opening in Soho this July, it has projected a 60 per cent growth in 2019 alone.

In March, the brand won the Innovate Business Model and People’s Champion categories at the Hubble Awards 2019.
