Mortgages business opens Salisbury branch

A new business has moved into the former army recruitment centre in Salisbury city centre.

This follows property consultancy Myddelton & Major successfully negotiating a deal for 13 Castle Street.

New tenants are Mortgages Unlimited, and a five-year lease has been agreed on the property.

Quoting rent for the 1,863 sq ft (173.07 sq m) ground floor retail unit with first floor ancillary space was £17,500 per annum.

Myddelton & Major Partner Simon Lee said: “Mortgages Unlimited is a national mortgage and protection broker based in Salisbury and I was delighted to help facilitate the opening of this office.

“It is good to see businesses such as independent financial advisers rubbing shoulders with the many big names in Salisbury’s retail heart as it adds to the rich tapestry of city life.

“Mortgages Unlimited offers a wide range of refinancing services including re-mortgages, purchases, capital raising, buy to let, second charges, self-employed, over 65s and mortgage capacity reports.”

The premises occupy a prominent trading position fronting Castle Street at the junction with Blue Boar Row, Minster Street and Market Walk.

Nearby occupiers include Tesco Metro, ASK, Timpson, Martins, Giggling Squid Restaurant, William Hill and HSBC.

It comprises a ground floor retail unit with a glazed display frontage and customer entrance, together with a large ancillary first floor sales/storage space, with separate kitchenette and separate WCs.
