Rob Bould, of Rob Bould Consulting and former CEO of GVA, has been elected the new Chair of Trustees at LandAid, the property industry charity. He replaces Liz Peace CBE who steps down after three years leading the charity.
Rob, who steps up from his current role as Vice-Chair, has been a member of LandAid’s Board of Trustees for over nine years, and a supporter of the charity since its beginnings back in 1986. He takes up his new role on 1 April 2019, his first official role will be a ‘Meet the Chair’ event, kindly hosted at CoStar’s offices in the Shard on 2 April.
This news coincides with the beginning of the third year of LandAid’s strategy working to help the industry work to end youth homelessness. Two years in, that strategy has helped deliver well over 400 of the 450 bedspace target set back in 2017. 2019 will see LandAid’s biggest ever capital project open – LandAid House near Old Street in London. Owned and managed by City YMCA (London), LandAid House will provide 146 safe, secure and affordable homes for young homeless Londoners who need them.
Rob has already been seminal in growing and developing LandAid into the charity that it is today. In twelve years on the Board, LandAid has grown from a volunteer-led organisation to a professionally run charity with 16 staff which last year raised over £3million for the first time.
