Werrington Centre gets new lease of life as three new retailers move in

Savills, on behalf of Melbourne Holdings, has let three retail units at the Werrington Centre in Peterborough to Co-op Funeralcare, Newton Fallowell and POST2U Limited.

The funeral care provider has agreed to a new 10-year lease for 1,022 sq ft (95 sq m) and will occupy Unit 7B. Subsequently, POST2U has also agreed to a new 10-year lease for space totalling 762 sq ft (70 sq m) and will occupy Unit 10, whilst estate agents Newton Fallowell has agreed to a five-year lease for 881 sq ft (81 sq m).

Edward Gee, associate director in the business space team at Savills Peterborough, comments: “The Werrington Centre has gained a new lease of life which has been proven by the new influx of retailers and the additional space currently under offer. Located just four miles outside of Peterborough city centre, occupiers will benefit from the footfall generated by anchor tenant Tesco and for this reason we expect to receive further enquiries for the remaining available units.”
