Trio of businesses expand into Logistics park at Nursling, Hants

Three industrial and logistics businesses have moved into newly-refurbished premises in Nursling, Hampshire as they expand their operations.

Industrial property specialist at Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), joint agents with Hellier Langston, have let over 139,000 sq ft of warehouse space on the Nursling Industrial Estate, acting on behalf of the CBRE UK Property PAIF (UKPP), a fund managed by CBRE Global Investors.

Union Mart Ltd, a leading UK supplier of pressure washers and one of the largest vinyl distributors in the UK, has moved from its current home at the Deacon Trading Estate in Eastleigh to a 16,447 sq ft unit in Mauretania Road. The 10-year lease is a strategic move as the business looks to expand further.

Youngs Transportation and Logistics Ltd has moved its Hampshire depot from Eling Wharf, at Totton, to 10 Oriana Way, expanding into a 61,044 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease. The company is taking up the unit that was released after Aqua Pacific, a leading pets and aquarium supplier, relocated from Oriana Way to Mauretania Road in a deal also secured by LSH and Hellier Langston.

Gregory Distribution Ltd, one of the largest privately-owned transport companies in the UK, is taking up 62,003 sq ft detached warehouse on a self-contained 2.79-acre site. Relocating its sites in Chandler’s Ford and Bournemouth, the expansion follows the recent win of a major contract with Hovis Bakeries.

Adrian Whitfield, Director Industrial and Logistics at LSH, said: “The industrial and distribution market continues to grow on the South Coast and it is highly encouraging that companies are looking to expand further by taking up these high-quality premises at Nursling. The refurbished units offer excellent facilities in a prime location close to the M27 and M271 and put these businesses in pole position for growth.

“We are delighted to have been able to secure premises for these leading businesses, all major employers in the region, and wish them every success for the future.”

Matthew Poplett, of Hellier Langston, said: “Nursling continues to be hugely popular for the logistics sector and we are pleased to have been able to secure these premises for Gregory Distribution.”

Mike McQuaide, of Union Mart, said: “It seemed so long ago that Union Mart first opened its door back in 2012 under a single car garage roof and is now operating out of a 16,000 sq ft warehouse. Our business has gone from strength to strength over the past six years and we would like to thank Lambert Smith Hampton for helping to secure these new premises.”

Paul Pavitt, Managing Director of Youngs Transportation and Logistics Ltd, said: “Relocating to Nursling is a strategic move for the business following successful contract wins and listening to the needs of our clients over the past two years. After an extensive search, we are delighted to move into this larger space that perfectly matches our future needs.”

Paul Jefferson, Business Support Director for Gregory Distribution, said: “Our expansion comes on the back of a major contract and we would like to thank the team at Hellier Langston for securing this prime location.”

The four recent acquisitions at Nursling leaves 42a Oriana Way, a 19,289 sq ft detached warehouse on a self-contained 1.15 acre site that is ideal for industrial, storage and distribution purposes.
