In a bid to grow its presence in Europe, The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) has announced a partnership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) which will result in the professional bodies jointly hosting a series of real estate events across Europe in 2018.

SIOR has over 3,200 members worldwide and is the leading global professional office and industrial real estate association and RICS is the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure and construction. This new partnership will unite and benefit all members across Europe in a bid to increase awareness and support business to business transactions in key capital cities where development and investment opportunities are prevalent.

Renata Osiecka, Managing Partner at AXI IMMO Group and current President of SIOR Europe, said: “This partnership is a significant step forward for us and a sign of our continued commitment to growing our membership across Europe. As a professional body, RICS upholds the highest possible standards and support for its members, which complements our own ethos and approach to business within SIOR. We look forward to working together over the next year on a range of networking and learning events that will benefit all of our respective members.”

Maarten Vermeulen FRICS, Managing Director for Europe at RICS, said: “RICS is always on the lookout for collaboration with like-minded partners across Europe. RICS focusses on making the Built Environment more ethical, professional and transparent. SIOR adheres to the same, albeit from a different angle. Therefore, I am very pleased to see that we have found an opportunity to jointly organize an event in Paris and later this year in Frankfurt. I honestly hope that we can further expand our cooperation and explore other opportunities for joint activities going forward.”

The first event has already been announced for Paris, France on Thursday 26th April from 4-6pm. It’s free to attend and all members are encouraged to bring along guests who will benefit from making new connections.
