Mids software firm strengthens team and boosts exports

Warwickshire company Rivo Software is going from strength to strength as it continues to expand and export services even further across the globe.

Rivo, based at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Warwick Innovation Centre, provides large scale risk management and compliance software, now used by large organisations in as many as 82 countries and in 32 different languages.

Launched in 2004 with three employees, Rivo now has a US office in New York and a team of around 50 based in Warwick, including 12 recent recruits in the delivery and sales teams.

Rivo has been ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list of fastest growing technology companies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the last two years, and has expanded three times within the Warwick Innovation Centre.

CEO Simon Hook said: “We’re now providing business risk and compliance software solutions in more than 82 countries and in 32 languages. We’ve got a fantastic product which is attractive to clients carrying out major projects across the globe and this is going to grow and grow.

“Being named in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for the last two years is testament to the effort of all the Rivo team and we look forward to continuing this growth heading into 2013.

“We’re also delighted to have been in a position to create 12 new jobs so far this year to support our continued expansion.

“The flexibility and support offered by the Warwick Science Park team has played a major part in the on-going success of Rivo. We started out with just one unit in the centre and have followed a planned expansion and now have five units of space,”

Karen Aston, centre manager at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Warwick Innovation Centre at Gallows Hill, said Rivo are a great success story.

“Rivo have grown remarkably since being with us at the Science Park and it’s great to witness and play a part in their success,” she said.

“The firm has worked hard to build a strong presence in its sector which has seen them been in a position to regularly take new space and add to their team, which is extremely positive for the company and the area in this current climate.

“We pride ourselves on being able to be flexible and support the growth plans of our tenants and Rivo is an excellent example of a business which started out quite small and has gone on to be a leading player in its industry as its presence in the Fast 500 list outlines.”
