Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has won a top award for the sixth year in succession.

The Salisbury-based firm covering the central southern region has again won the title of Most Active Agency in Wiltshire.

Deals covering over 770,000 sq ft of commercial and in-excess of 170 transactions helped Myddelton & Major retain the title.

The prestigious award came from Estates Gazette, the respected national online and weekly publication covering the whole of the UK commercial property industry.

The 2017 EGi success was based on the number of retail, office and industrial deals completed across the county during the past year.

Myddelton & Major completed 172 deals covering 771,417sq ft of commercial space in Wiltshire. Freehold sales totalled £25 million and the rent roll amounted to just under £2.4 million.

The long-established firm’s five-strong Agency Wiltshire commercial team are surveyors Philip Holford, Dean Speer, Simon Lee, Rachael Wythe, Gary Mead and indispensable administrator and Jody Williams .

Successful deals have included the nearly fully sold first phase of the Bluestone Centre, Amesbury, land at Solstice Park, also Amesbury, factory/warehouse units at High Post Business Park, Salisbury, and large units at Minton Distribution Park, Amesbury

There were a large number of individual property deals negotiated at Churchfields Industrial Estate, Harnham Trading Estate, Glenmore Business Park, Old Sarum, Salisbury and West Wilts Business Park, Westbury and Dean Hill Park, West Dean.

The award is for the most of the transactions were in Wiltshire, around Salisbury/Amesbury, but Myddelton & Major also acted on commercial properties in in Dorset, across Somerset and in West Hampshire.
