Partner White Collar Boxing to raise funds for Sports Traider charity

More than 700 people from the Salesforce ecosystem will be coming together at the Troxy for the biggest white collar charity boxing event in the UK. Organised by newly-formed, not-for-profit community group, Partner Event Promotions, the night is expected to raise thousands of pounds for the Sports Traider charity.

Partner White Collar Boxing comes to the world-famous Troxy in London on Thursday 22nd March and will bring together people from the world of sport, business and television all with the goal of raising money through boxing to help get more kids into sport. The night will consist of fundraising auctions, motivational speeches from leaders in business as well as boxing legends and a 3 course meal — but the real action will be inside the ring as 20 contenders will be hoping to channel their inner ‘Rocky’ and battle it out to raise as much as they can for Boxing Aid.

Contenders are made up of 16 men and 4 women, all from Salesforce and partnering companies from around the world including makepositive, Pracedo, Zuora, Frank Recruitment Group, Natterbox, Ricoh UK, Ceterna, 4C, Cloudshift, NewVoiceMedia and Cirrico Solutions.

“The whole evening is dedicated to raising valuable funds and awareness for a cause that has been close to my heart for a number of years. Sports Traider charity helps kids to get into sport by providing them with the kit they require, coaching and most important, the confidence to give it a go. I’m thrilled that so many of my friends and colleagues are getting behind this event. It stands to be a big fundraiser for the charity and it will make a real difference to people’s lives. It’s going to be awesome!” Says James Collett, the founder of the event and SVP Marketing and Alliances at Make Positive Limited, a Salesforce multi-award winning Platinum Partner.

Sports Traider is a youth-focused charity offering youngsters the kit and support they need to discover and fulfil they’re sporting ambition and potential, whatever their background, ability or disability and were the first to establish a chain of charity shops in the UK that specialise in sports kit and equipment. Set up by Dr Lance Haggith, a previous winner of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award (Unsung Hero), in Bedford in 2009, the charity lists a host of sporting legends and film & tv stars amongst its supporters, many of whom have pledged their support for the event.

“We are thrilled to be the beneficiary of this, the biggest white collar boxing charity event of its kind ever. We have John Conteh running the auction for us as well as Johnny Nelson, Chantelle Cameron and Kelly Haynes on hand to help motivate the fighters. Our good friend and film star, Colin Salmon has also booked a table for the night. This is going to awesome!” says Haggith.

“I know it’ll be packed out. It should be a great night – great evening of boxing too,” says Johnny Nelson, the longest reigning cruiserweight world champion of all time.
