90,000 sq ft reaches Practical Completion at SEGRO Park Bracknell

SEGRO plc (‘SEGRO’) has completed the first phase of development at SEGRO Park Bracknell; a speculative 90,000 sq ft urban logistics unit.

It is the first unit delivered by SEGRO at the 17 acre site, where planning consent has also been granted for two light industrial or logistics units of 60,000 and 31,000 sq ft.

The unit, which fronts on to the A3095 dual carriageway and offers exceptional access to the M4 and M3, provides 85,500 sq ft of industrial and logistics space and 4,600 sq ft office space. It is also in the core employment area of Bracknell.

In December, SEGRO completed the sale of a two acre site at SEGRO Park Bracknell to Big Yellow Storage, who will deliver a new self-storage facility subject to planning consent.

The remaining three sites on SEGRO Park Bracknell offer the flexibility to design and build new industrial space or trade units up to a total of 155,000 sq ft available to occupiers in a range of configurations.

Paul Lewis, Regional Director for the Thames Valley and Data Centres, said:

“Practical completion of the first phase at SEGRO Park Bracknell is a significant milestone as we advance our plans to deliver high spec logistics space that is so critical to retail and manufacturing supply chains.

“Bracknell is one of the South East’s most compelling locations for industrial and logistics space, benefiting from exceptional motorway connectivity and an abundant workforce.

“We are seeing strong demand for the completed unit, and look forward to embarking on the next phases of construction in due course.”

The site is adjacent to the UK headquarters of Waitrose, as well as office buildings occupied by world-class businesses Boehringer Ingelheim, a world leading pharmaceutical company, and Fujitsu, a leading provider of IT products and services.
