Motor parts supplier leads occupancy drive at Centurion Park

Dan Rawlings, Surveyor in the Industrial team at LSH’s Southampton office

Motor parts supplier Go Trade Parts Limited (GTPL), a subsidiary company of Vauxhall Motors, is to occupy a large trade counter unit at Southampton’s Centurion Park, leading an influx of new businesses expected to join the thriving site over the coming year.

The company, a leading supplier of Vauxhall parts, is to occupy Unit E, a warehouse and trade counter unit of almost 5,000 sq ft, at the park in Bitterne Road.

South coast commercial property specialists Lambert Smith Hampton acted for Travis Perkins, previous occupier of the unit, in negotiating terms so that the new occupier could move in. The property is undergoing an extensive refurbishment by the landlord, Staffordshire Pension Fund, before GTPL moves in by the spring.

GTPL is expected to be the first in a run of businesses to move into the park, joining current occupiers including Screwfix and Royal Mail.

LSH and Vail Williams have been appointed joint agents for the park, where three units are available for new occupiers.

Dan Rawlings, Surveyor in the Industrial team at LSH’s Southampton office, said: “Centurion Park is in a highly desirable location with good transport links and modern facilities.

“We’re delighted to welcome GTP to this busy location, and we are already seeing significant levels of interest in the remaining units at the park.”

Jaspal Singh of Vauxhall Motors said: “We are excited about opening our new trade counter at Centurion Park, and are grateful to LSH’s industrial specialists who were instrumental in finding us the ideal new premises.”

The three units available are Unit B (10,097 sq ft of ground floor space), Unit C (10,072 sq ft) and Unit J (9,891 sq ft). All have associated ground and first floor offices, ample parking and loading areas suitable for articulated lorries.

Centurion Park is well located, approximately a mile and a half from Southampton’s Western Docks and Container Port, with Southampton City Centre approximately a mile to the west and connections to the M3 around four miles to the north. Bitterne Road West connects to Junction 7 of the M27.
