Commercial property specialists at Lambert Smith Hampton have been honoured for the 11th year running for transacting more deals than any other agent in Hampshire.

The firm’s South Coast office has been awarded the title of “Most Active Agent” for the county by leading property magazine Estates Gazette (EG). LSH outstripped its nearest rival by around 40 deals.

The publication collects extensive data on deals around the UK before issuing its awards on a region by region basis. The competition is based on number of deals, rather than their size, and covers all commercial property types.

Throughout 2017, LSH has transacted 79 industrial deals in Hampshire, involving a total of 444,814 sq ft of space, and 31 office transactions totalling 112,392 sq ft.

In making the award, EG noted: “Despite the challenges facing the UK, the South Coast property market has remained buoyant throughout the past 12 months.

“We have seen the continuation of rental and capital value appreciation within the office and industrial sectors. Supply is starting to improve in the Industrial & Logistics sector, which is helping to service the high level of unsatisfied requirements evident at all levels of the market.”

Highlights for LSH on the South Coast this year include the launch of South Central, a £30m industrial scheme at Nursling; the letting of a unit at Alpha Park, Chandlers Ford, to logistics specialist DX Network Services; and the firm’s appointment by Fareham Borough Council as sole letting agent for the Solent Airport business parks at the former HMS Daedalus site.

LSH’s office teams are agents for major schemes including 89,000 sq ft of Grade A office space at Chilcomb Park, Winchester, and were instrumental in the move of Top 100 law firm Keoghs into the landmark White Building in Southampton.

LSH was also a winner at the South Coast Property Awards, where it won Industrial and Logistics Consultancy of the Year, Best Property Consultancy – Office, and Property Deal of the Year.

Graham Holland, head of the South Coast Office at LSH, said: “We’re delighted to be the recipients of this award, which recognises the expertise and knowledge of the individuals and teams at LSH.

“Despite an ongoing lack of supply of good quality space, we continue to excel at finding opportunities that match the needs of our clients. We look forward to continuing to lead the field in 2018.”
