Tristan and Alchemy secure international names at Westside, Hemel Hempstead

Tristan Capital Partners, in conjunction with Alchemy Asset Management, has let 81,500 sq ft of Westside in Apsley, Hemel Hempstead to three international occupiers, highlighting the attractiveness of the remodelled and refurbished office building.

Grass Roots Group, a leading provider of employee and customer engagement solutions and part of Blackhawk Network, has chosen the 44,899 sq ft Westside One as its new UK headquarters. It is relocating from five offices in London and Hertfordshire in early 2018, on a 12 year lease at £25.50 per sq ft.

Samsung-owned car and home audio maker Harman International Industries has taken 25,799 sq ft on the ground and first floors of Westside Two on a 10 year lease with £26 per sq ft.

In addition, existing occupier Epson has committed its future to the building by re-gearing their lease on 54,000 sq ft and taking an additional 10,860 sq ft on the first floor of Westside Three.

Guy Bishop, Director at Alchemy Asset Management, said: “We are delighted to welcome Harman and GRG to Westside, and are equally very pleased that Epson has committed to remain and expand on site. Westside has been selected by these global brands, in the face of steep competition, because of the superior environment, high quality refurbishment and strong public transport and road access, which endorse our decision to invest in this asset”.

Only 16,147 sq ft of the 195,000 sq ft remains available on the second floor of Westside Two at a quoting rent of £27.50 per sq ft.

Letting agents for Tristan Capital Partners and Alchemy Asset Management are Hanover Green and Brasier Freeth.

Lonic represented GRG and CBRE advised Harman International.
