Bruton Knowles has appointed Jeremy Pyatt as planning partner.

Jeremy, who will be based in Birmingham and will head up planning across Bruton Knowles’ 13 offices, joins from specialist environmental consultancy WYG, where he was a director of the Milton Keynes office.

Prior to joining WYG in 2013, Jeremy headed up the Savills Milton Keynes office for more than six years and was a principal associate at RPS prior to that.

During his 26 years as a planner, Jeremy has acted for a wide range of public and private sector clients, including TNT Express, BlackRock, MEPC, Kier Living, DIO and the Homes and Communities Agency.

His experience includes advising on all aspects of planning across a range of sectors including residential, leisure, education, healthcare and retail.

Jeremy said: “This is an exciting opportunity to develop the planning specialism within Bruton Knowles, adding to the existing multi-disciplinary offer.”

Ian Pitt, partner and head of Bruton Knowles Birmingham office, said: “Jeremy has a wealth of experience as a planner, as well as leading teams and growing businesses. His broad skill set will be a major benefit for the firm as we continue to expand our core services and capabilities.

“Over the last 12 months there have been a number of senior recruits, extending the firm’s reach into leisure, hotels, student accommodation, financial institutions, commercial developers, NHS and government owned property.
