Office let in revamped Cathedral Grounds

A unique office location in the grounds of Gloucester Cathedral has been let to Greystone Shipping Ltd following a deal brokered by Bruton Knowles.

Greystone has taken a 432 sq ft office suite in the recently revamped College Green after re-locating from London.

William Matthews from Bruton Knowles’ said: “This has to be one of the most unusual office locations in the city. The suite is part of a Grade II* listed building within the Cathedral precincts – which have been completely re-furbished under the £6m Project Pilgrim scheme.

“The office suite is on the ground floor and comprises a main office room with period features, private kitchen, toilet and a front meeting room with views of the Cathedral.”

William Matthews went on: “Gloucester Cathedral is very much at the heart of the city and has been a place of worship for more than 1,300 years. It has seen centuries of history – it is the resting place of King Edward II and was also a centrepiece of Parliament’s defence of the city during the English Civil War.

“More recently, the historic cathedral cloisters were used as a set during the filming of the Harry Potter films.”

He concluded: “We were determined to find an occupier for this niche property – which has to be one of the most enviable and unusual business addresses in the county.”
