Midlands property company attracts nationwide business

A Midlands property company has attracted a nationwide company which works mainly in the electrical sector to one of its major sites.

AC Lloyd, based in Leamington Spa, has brought the iLECSYS Group to its six-acre site on Kites Park in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire.

The company is relocating from its current site in Tring, which has been its home for the last 15 years. A total of 50 members of staff from its head office in Tring will be re-locating to the company’s new factory in February.

The 40,000 sq ft complex is on land near the railway station at Kites Park in Princes Risborough which was bought by AC Lloyd who develop residential and commercial property.

The iLECSYS Group is a multi-disciplined company working predominantly within the electrical control sector across many different sectors. Its main sectors include electrical distribution products, rail, hazardous area, engineering and sheet metal fabrication.

Des Wynne, director at AC Lloyd, said the move left the final phase of two acres remaining at Kites Park.

He said: “The iLECSYS Group has built a strong reputation over the last two decades in a number of sectors particularly as a specialist manufacturer of products for the rail industry.

“Their new unit at Kites Park will provide all the state-of-the-art facilities they need to continue to grow the business and it is perfectly positioned in a business park environment near the train station and the M40 corridor. It is great to see this site being brought back to economic life.

“The move brings a very highly-regarded company to the site and we have significant interest in the final phase, having sold a previous phase to GKL Leasing.”

Grace Tipson, managing director of the iLECSYS Group, said after 20 years of consecutive growth this was the right time to expand its capabilities and production facilities.

“Our current site in Tring measures 21,000 sq ft but the significant growth of the company means we have run out of room,” she said.

“We have been looking for new premises for some time and looked at many sites before AC Lloyd and Minns Network Developments satisfied us that it was the place to go.

“We are moving to 40,000 sq ft premises which will include mezzanine floors and we can bring our employees from Tring together with recruiting new staff.

“The new state-of-the-art facility will mean we can extend our services in manufacturing and production which is vital to support our customers with larger projects since we will be able to reduce production times.

“Moving to the new production, warehouse and administrative building will also allow us to bring together all our manufacturing disciplines under one roof including sheet metal fabrication, welding, milling, turning, machining and the assembly of all types of enclosures including stainless steel so we will be able to increase productivity within an energy efficient, high quality industrial unit.

“We are looking forward to watching our new home being built following months of planning and design work.”

Will Winterson, commercial director at Minns Network Developments who are working with AC Lloyd as development managers, said the iLECSYS Group was re-locating to a building with a number of different uses being planned for under a single roof.

“Opportunities to develop sites such as this in the Wycombe District are rare and it is the perfect location and facility for the iLECSYS Group to look to the future with confidence,” he said.

“All areas of the business are continuing to grow and increasing their space will enable Grace and her team to meet the upsurge in demand.”
