Ambulance service provider to open Bristol hub

One of the largest providers of private ambulance services has opened a new hub in Bristol.

E-zec Medical Transport has leased a 5,869 sq ft unit at Avonside Industrial Park in the St Philips area of the city. The company has taken a 10 year lease in a deal completed by Cushman & Wakefield on behalf of the landlord.

E-zec Medical is one of the longest established and largest independent ambulance providers in the UK. They were recently awarded a contract by NHS Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS North Somerset CCG and NHS South Gloucestershire CCG to provide non-emergency transport services to Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire patients. The service includes a dedicated call centre, control planning and despatch, road teams and a new vehicle fleet which will operate from the hub and other sites around the area.

Located in close proximity to central Bristol and the M32, Avonside Industrial Park is a secure industrial estate in a well-established commercial area.  The unit was fully refurbished in 2016.

Wayne Spedding, Director of Operations at E-zec Medical added: “This was a very smooth transaction from start to finish, which is testament to the landlord and their agents who acted promptly in order to meet our required occupational timeframes.”

Philip Cranstone, Associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s Bristol Industrial & Logistics team, commented: “We are pleased to have agreed this letting which will enable E-zec Medical to fulfill its NHS contracts. The location of Avonside Industrial Park has proven popular with a number of occupiers and there is currently just one unit remaining.”

There is now only one unit left available on the estate, which Cushman & Wakefield and Colliers International are jointly marketing. The remaining unit comprises 15,876 sq ft with dedicated secure yard, and also benefits from a new roof.
